Niels Markus Arens joins Dr Ulf Sparka as the second Managing Director of the European market leader for identification and labelling solutions.
The inotec group has been strengthened with the appointment of Niels Markus Arens as its second managing director. In addition to Dr Ulf Sparka, who will continue to be responsible for strategy, innovation, sales and marketing, Niels Markus Arens will primarily take on operational tasks at the market leader for identification and labelling solutions. With this personnel decision, inotec is setting the course to continue the sustainable growth of past years into the future.
Niels Markus Arens is an industrial engineer with a master's degree in engineering. He worked for 17 years in the automotive and aerospace industries and gained diverse experience in various management roles in industrial engineering, product & project management, purchasing, research & development, production, and logistics & operations. He has worked in Germany and abroad, and knows the North American market in particular very well.
"I want to contribute my know-how to inotec in order to exploit all potential for even more efficient product realisation," says Niels Markus Arens, adding, "We have to meet customer demands for even faster delivery, further improve our productivity, and increase output."
Arens intends to achieve this primarily by implementing LEAN management and further digitalising production. "I am fascinated by setting up and improving processes, in purchasing, in control, in scheduling and across all the departments involved, in order to always make the respective product a little better as a result," Arens says.
What attracts Arens – native of Schleswig-Holstein – to his new job at inotec is the extraordinary growth potential: "Track & Trace is a huge topic, for example for Industry 4.0 and all types of automation." He is also looking forward to taking on entrepreneurial responsibility, saying, "Together with my co-managing director, Dr Ulf Sparka, I want to develop and implement holistic strategies for the company." In this respect, Niels Markus Arens sees the medium-sized structure as a great advantage. "I associate medium-sized companies with flat hierarchies, pragmatism, quick decisions, and proximity to the employees – everyone helps everyone, in teams of manageable size. These are important criteria for successful work."
According to Co-Managing Director Dr Ulf Sparka, Niels Markus Arens possesses all the necessary qualifications "to support the growth course and expansion of inotec and to further improve services for customers in the process."
With this successful personnel decision, inotec has the necessary clout to continue on its growth path. The focus is on further internationalisation and the successful integration of recently acquired companies.
